The Challenge


The company (formerly "Pix Applications") built high-value Shopify apps but operated with limited brand recognition. The functionality was strong, but technical naming conventions and descriptions were hindering App Store performance. The objective was to improve installs and shorten decision cycles by making the core value instantly clear.


Strategic Action

  • Strategic Rebrand to "Gist": Led the complete transformation to "Gist Applications," centering the brand promise on "Simplifying Commerce." This wasn't just a logo change; it was a positioning shift to appeal to high-volume merchants who valued efficiency.
  • App Store Optimization (ASO): Treated the Shopify App Store like a search engine. I produced high-production explainer videos, directing professional actors and rewriting all listings with SEO-rich copy to dominate search results for logistics keywords.
  • Search Arbitrage: Launched high-intent paid search campaigns targeting merchants actively looking for "shipping solutions," scaling our Cost-Per-Install (CPI) campaigns into new international markets.
